Day 1

Moscow

Arrival in MOW. Meet with guide.

Lunch in the city

Moscow city tour, including visit to GULAG History Museum (Moscow).

The collection of the GULAG History Museum includes an archive of documents, letters, memoirs of former prisoners of the GULAG, their personal things related to their story of imprisonment, works of art created both by artists who went through the GULAG and contemporary creators who offer their own view on this subject. The Museum's collection is regularly replenished by new exhibits, photographs, paintings, documents, and camp life artifacts.

Transfer to the hotel. Check in. Dinner in the hotel (on request).

Day 2

Moscow-Perm

Breakfast. Meet with guide.

Transfer to the railway station. Departure to Perm.

Day 3

Perm-Yekaterinburg

Arrival in Perm. Meet with guide. Transfer to the Museum of political repression "Perm-36" (90 km).

The Reserve Museum "Perm-36" is located in the territory of the former forced-labor camp VS 389/36 in the village of Kuchino.  It was part of the large prison camp system established by the former Soviet Union during the Stalin era, known as the Gulag. Built in 1946 and closed in December 1987, the camp was preserved as a museum in 1994 by the private Russian human rights organization Memorial and since 1995 has been open to the public as The Museum of the History of Political Repression Perm-36 (known popularly as the Gulag Museum.

Visit the Museum of political repression with an English or German speaking guide.

Lunch at Yermak cafe

Departure to the Kolpaki mountain near the village of Teplaya Gora (130 km)

Climbing the mountain (300 meters) and visiting the observation deck "Kolpaki"

Departure to monument "Europe Asia" - border between Europe and Asia in Russia + picnic.

Transfer to Yekaterinburg  - 255km

Day 4

Yekaterinburg-Moscow

Breakfast

City tour - During the city tour you will see the most interesting sights of the city. You will learn how the city was founded in 1723, and what role Emperor Peter I played in its foundation. You will see beautiful rich merchant mansions and hear legends associated with them. You will learn the history of the Imperial Yekaterinburg lapidary factory, whose products still adorn the St. Petersburg palaces.

Visit of the Temple on the Blood

Lunch at a Russian restaurant.

Visit to the monastery in the name of the Holy Royal Martyrs on Ganina Yama, a temple complex with seven wooden churches - according to the number of killed members of the Romanov royal family. After the execution in 1918, the remains of the last emperor and his family were brought here. Ganina Yama is one of the holy places of modern Russia, which is interesting to visit not only for believers, but also for everyone who is interested in Russian history.

Visit of Eltsin Centre - unique museum of the 1st President of Russia, here you will find also information about life in the Soviet Union and 90s

Dinner in the city.

Transfer to the airport. Departure to Moscow.
